Gorilla Foods

Hey guys. I know it’s been a few days. It’s been nuts with all the things going on. On Wednesday I went for lunch with my friend and former colleague and she surprised me with Gorilla Foods.

I was so excited because I had gone past this place so many times but never been in.

We went just before noon and the place was full with a line up. We selected three items and also got a dessert at the end. Food is raw, organic and vegan, and AH-MA-ZING!

First we had the “crackers” with Guacamole & Salsa

Three different flavours and textures of crackers that were deeeeeeelicious! The guacamole was simple but flavourful and the salsa was so fresh and juicy. The portion sizes were great!
Everything is either prepared fresh or dehydrated to give it a different texture.

We then had the Gorilla Salad – which we also shared as well as the Pesto “pizza”. Oh. My. Goodness! Another couple winners.

The pizza tasted cheesy but made with walnuts and was on a buckwheat crust that was soft yet firm. It honestly tasted like normal pizza. I am definitely going to be making this one. They had all the recipes in the cookbook which you could look at and purchase while at lunch.
Finally after the massive salad, crackers and pizza we enjoyed a one bite dessert called Butterfly Bliss. Great flavour and texture, with chocolate caramel and a big walnut!

We had a lovely seat with a little window – GF is located underground at 436 Richards street. A definite try in a vegan adventure! Guaranteed even the non-believers will enjoy it. And best of all the prices were great! I will definitely return and recommend Gorilla Foods!!!
